I am the darcrainbow...
I am a graduate from Southern Oregon University, and have always been an Oregonian. I have always had an affinity for both the dark and the bright, having been referred to as a “dark rainbow” for both my personal style as well as my abstract art. Bright and whimsical paintings are juxtaposed with small intricate drawings, and at times I bring all these elements together. I am currently exploring a series of ink mandalas on watercolor backgrounds, and typically work small (most commonly 5x7").
I am a community-oriented person that loves to give back and inspire. I volunteer for the Ashland Gallery Association board as the Artist Liaison and coordinate a Portfolio Day event for the Ashland High School as well as coordinating the March Student Exhibition throughout Ashland. Speaking to and working with students and inspiring them to continue on their artistic journeys is one of the things I enjoy most. Deep inside each person is a creative soul waiting to speak up, and I aspire to help them find that voice. |
